Who We Are

Artist's Map of Africa, Unknown Artist
There is a temptation to treat the African continent as a single entity. But the reality is that Africa is a mosaic of cultural, linguistic, social, economic, political and geographical diversity.
Africa Integrity recognises, embraces and celebrates this diversity. All its services are delivered by Integrity Advisers who are specialists in their environments.

Africa Integrity Services Ltd is based in London and is run by its founder, Julian Fisher, and Kerrie O'Keeffe.

Julian started his professional life as a City economist before moving to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the mid-1990s. It was there he discovered his passion for Africa, thanks to postings in Nairobi and Harare. After leaving government service, Julian worked as Head of Security Intelligence at a global bank and then joined a leading private security and risk management consultancy, where he was Head of the Africa Desk for four years. Julian's varied career has given him an understanding of the realities of integrity best practice from corporate, government and consultancy perspectives.

Kerrie  is a practising barrister who acts as Africa Integrity's Legal Adviser. Her expertise is an invaluable addition to the company's range of competencies, given the role of legislation such as the UK Bribery Act in setting the parameters for clients' integrity management and ethical practices.

Africa Integrity's London team is supported by a network of Integrity Advisers based for the most part in Africa. The Integrity Advisers are drawn from diverse backgrounds, including journalism, anti-corruption and governance consultancy, diplomacy, national security and the commercial sector. They have been selected to provide direct access to the three main linguistic blocs in Africa (French, English and Portuguese) and the continent's four main regions (West, Central, East and South). Each adviser has a proven track record in providing the range of services offered by Africa Integrity and can respond rapidly to the needs of each project.

Africa Integrity also draws on a wide network of proprietary sources and specialists covering all parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, based both on the continent and in the diaspora. Sources are managed to ensure that the confidentiality of Africa Integrity's clients is properly protected and that all projects respect fully relevant domestic and international laws.

Knowledge, cultural understanding and transparency are the foundations on which sound corporate responsibility is built. Accordingly, Africa Integrity:

Africa Integrity's structure enables detailed and reliable coverage of most of the continent. At the same time, Africa Integrity is a purposely small and intimate group of Africa specialists, able to provide a cost-effective, visible and closely-controlled service. Needless to say, all Africa Integrity personnel share an unwavering commitment to three things: Africa, integrity, and clients' needs.

Africa Integrity Services Ltd is a limited company registered in England and Wales (number 7083635).
