Effective Integrity Practice – Africa Integrity’s Accreditation Project

Africa Integrity has launched a project to develop an accreditation scheme for Effective Integrity Practice in Africa. The scheme's ultimate aim is to establish a Kitemark which may be used to demonstrate a company's commitment to the effective implementation of its ethical policies.

We believe that such initiatives are best driven by the practitioners of corporate integrity - the companies themselves - rather than imposed by NGOs or governments. Benchmarks for the implementation of ethical policy should be drawn up by the implementers of such policies and subject to a form of peer review.

To achieve this, Africa Integrity will work alongside companies with operational footprints in Africa to develop best practice models suited to the needs of communities and investors alike. Africa Integrity will also act as an independent guarantor of progress towards accreditation.

Africa Integrity is currently seeking corporate sponsors for this initiative.
